HOWE - Services for Willie Vineyard, 84-year-old Howe housewife who died Monday at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Van Alstyne, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Flesher Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Clyde Boyd of Irving and the Rev. Eugene Norman of Elmont Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mrs. Vineyard was born in Liberty, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Springfield, and married Orvin Vineyard on Nov. 24, 1923. She was a member of Elmont Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughters, LaVerne Simmons of Corsicana and Alma Farrington of Van Alstyne; son, Arlie Vineyard of Howe; sisters, Lottie Fennell of McKinney, Dixie Patton of Perryton, Ruby Reynolds of Memphis and Mary Lewis of Carthage; brother, Louie Springfield of Dallas; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Loren Ferguson, Carl Lay, Bill Barrett, Bob Medders, Billy Joe Wheeler and Ray Mathes.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and other times at the family residence, 208 Elm St., Howe.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 2, at 2:30 p.m. at the Elmont Baptist Church for Mr. Orvin V. Vineyard, 86, of Howe, who passed away at his residence Monday, May 31.
Burial was in the Van Alstyne Cemetery under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home. Bro.E.G.Gregory and Bro.Robert Smith, both Baptist ministers, officiated. Mr. Vineyard was born in Alabama, May 3, 1885, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Vineyard. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Elmont Baptist Church.
He married Willie Springfield Nov. 24, 1923 in Van Alstyne, and is survived by his wife of Howe; three daughters, Mrs. Jesse Farrington of Van Alstyne, Mrs. R.B.Thornton of Groom, Tex. and Mrs. Arlon Simmons of Kerens, Tex.; one son, Arlie Vineyard of Howe; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Les Vineyard of Van Alstyne.
