SHERMAN - Frances Evelyn Maddox, 86-year-old Sherman resident, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2006. at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at the First United Methodist Church in Howe with Ed Lantz officiating. Burial will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mrs. Maddox was born on August 8, 1919, daughter of George and Maggie Horner Wood. In 1940, she married James W. Maddox in Van Alstyne. He preceded her in death in October 1991.
She was a 60-year member of the First United Methodist in Howe, Texas. She was also a member of the Texoma Iris Society.
Mrs. Maddox is survived by one daughter, Ruth Green and her husband, Harold of McKinney, Texas; three grandchildren, Terry Green and Rhonda Silva and her husband, Troy, all of McKinney, and Tracy Whitfield and her husband, Joey, of Sherman; and great-grandchildren Jonathan Leidy and Denver, Molly and Kelli Anne Harcum.
The family will be at Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday February 8.
