January 11, 2009 A16 VAN ALSTYNE, Texas - Robert David Veazey, a 66 year old Van Alstyne resident, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at his home in Van Alstyne. He was born March 25, 1942 in Sherman, Texas to Robert Veazey and Mary Marie Veazey. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2009 at the Van Alstyne Cemetery under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne. Rev. Charles Glass will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jim Bob Wolfe, Kenneth Turner, Jerry Hancock, Trent Oswalt, Bill Parker and Derryl O'Neal. He is survived by his wife, Jean Veazey of Van Alstyne; two sons, David Veazey Jr. and wife Lisa of Dallas and Daniel Veazey and wife Amanda of Omaha, Neb.; three stepchildren, Debbie Oswalt and husband Paul of Sherman; Patricia Neal of Van Alstyne and Mike Neal and wife Layne of Palm Sprinigs, Calif.; two grandchildren, Ashten to Topeka, Kan. and Sarah Veazey of Omaha, Neb.; three stepgrandchildren, Melissa Henley of Van Alstyne; Mike Neal of Palm Springs, Calif.; and Trent Oswalt of Sherman; and three great-grandchildren.
