Mildred Irene Veale, age 91 of Van Alstyne, TX, passed away February 19, 2010 at her home.  She was born on April 23, 1918 in Cannon, TX to Kit and Maggie (Clipper) Page.  Mildred worked for the government for thirty-one years and twenty-nine of those years were at Perrin Air Force Base.  After
that she worked for the Van Alstyne I.S.D. as a tax collector and for the justice of the peace as his secretary.  She was baptized in 1938 in the First Christian Church.
Mildred is survived by her son, Hugh Veale and wife, Debra of Van Alstyne, TX; granddaughter, Page Veale of Van Alstyne, TX; grandson, Brad Veale of McKinney, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Flesher Funeral Home
Chapel in Van Alstyne with Alan Mattingly and Gary Gibbs officiating.  Interment will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors at their home.
