Van Alstyne - The remains of Mrs. E.A. Turner, 70, of San Antonio, a former resident of this city, were received by interurban at 10:40 a.m. Monday.  Burial was had in Van Alstyne Cemetery where a brief service was read by the Rev. Lloyd Mottley, pastor of the local Christian Church.
Mrs. Turner, who was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Will Cannon, was born and reared in the Jameson community.  After her marriage her husband was engaged in the grain business here for a number of years.  The family later moved to San Antonio where M. Turner died several years ago.
Surviving are a son, Herbert Turner; and a daughter, Mrs. Talmadge Anderson of San Antonio; three sisters, Mrs. J.H. Mershon of San Antonio; Mrs. F.M. Echols of Whitewright; and Mrs. John Kelly of Stanton; four brothers, S.E Cannon of Holly, Colorado; Walter Cannon of Dublin; William Cannon of New Mexico; and Charles Cannon of Sherman.
