 Robert Lee Tillett 21 January 1927 - 30 March 2001 Bobbie Bledsoe Tillett 7 January 1932 - 14 February 2009  Van Alstyne Leader April 4, 2001 Robert Lee Tillett, 74, of Van Alstyne died March 30 at Community Medical Center in Sherman. Funeral services were held Monday at Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne wit Brother Jimmy Tarrant and Brother Gerald Johnson officiating. He was buried in Van Alstyne Cemetery. He was born in Van Alstyne, Jan. 21, 1927, the son of Clarence W. Tillett and Myrtle Geer Tillett. He married Bobbie Nell Bledsoe on Oct. 21, 1948, in Sherman. He was a Baptist and retired from Mobil Oil. He is survived by his wife of 52 years; sons: Robin Tillett of Van Alstyne and Philip Tillett of Howe; daughters: Ruby Barcheers of Van Alstyne, Kelley Alexander of Northampton, Mass., and Karon Tredway of Tiger Tow, Texas; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters: Pauline Gentry and Jenny Wise of Van Alstyne, Juanita Boatwright of Sherman and JoAnn Marr of Whitesboro; and brothers: James and Billy Tillett of Van Alstyne, Clarence Tillett of Whitewright, Wayne Tillett of Fort Worth and Jerry Tillett of Caddo Mills.
