A10 Boyd Thompson Van Alstyne - Funeral services for Albert Boyd Thompson, 51, of Sherman who died Saturday at Wilson N. Jones Memorial Hospital in Sherman, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Flesher Funeral Home chapel. Irby McKnight of Harvest Time Assembly of God Church will officiate. Burial will be Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mr. Thompson was born in Sherman, a son of A.V. and Zelma Trevino Thompson. He married Sherry Ann Kirby on August 11, 1965, in Sherman. He was a draftsman and did sheet metal layout for Blanton Sheet Metal and Plyler Construction. He was a member of the Church of God. Surviving are his wife of Sherman; son, William Topper Thompson of Sherman; daughters, Stephanie Thompson of Sherman; mother, of Sherman; brother, Michael Thompson of Dallas; sisters, Bettye Jo Prestridge of Columbus, Ohio, and Virginia Cole of Sherman; and two grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday and other times at the Zelma Thompson residence, 802 E. Olive in Sherman.
