 Homer Taylor 26 October 1908 - 8 February 1980 Services
will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Waldo Funeral Chapel for Homer
Taylor, 71, retired Quaker Oats employee of 573 Scott Circle, who died
Friday at his residence. Services will be conducted by Rev. R.M. Williams of East Sherman Baptist Church, with burial at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was born in Gunter, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walton W. Taylor. He retired as a supervisor from Quaker Oats after 20 years and was a member of Andrew Randell Masonic Lodge 1342 and East Sherman Baptist Church. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Tom Patton of Sherman; brother, Dan Taylor of Sherman; sisters, Mrs. Jessie Marr of Sherman, Mrs. Charlotte Bledsoe of Gunter and Mrs. Aline Dobbs of Livingston; one grandson and three great-grandsons. Pallbearers will be members of Andrew Randell Masonic Lodge. The family will be at the funeral home from 3 to 4 p.m. and other times at the residence of Mrs. Tom Patton, Rt. 2, Sherman.
