GUNTER - Funeral for Lydia Taylor, 88, chairman and president of G.W.Taylor Tank Co. of Gunter, will be
2 p.m. today in Flesher Funeral Home with L.D.Byrd and Allen Luker officiating. Mrs. Taylor died July 16, 1992 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman. Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 6, 1903 in Garrett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Floyd Webb. She married G.W.Taylor on Dec. 7, 1919 in Dallas. Mrs. Taylor was a member of College Hill Church of Christ in Gunter.
She was a member of the Gunter Garden Club and Gunter Community Club. She was active in volunteer work for the Red Cross for many years. In 1942 she received a certificate of recognition (signed by Gov. Coke Stevenson) for patriotic service in time of war and was named an Agriculture Victory Leader in Grayson County.
Surviving are a daughter, Neva Streetman of Gunter; two sons, Chauncey Taylor of Sherman and Don Webb Taylor of Gunter; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gene Fort, Johnny Bailey, Wayne Kyle, Ladd Smith, Bill Clark, James Harold Neaves and John R. Hunter.
