Taylor, 39-year-old Van Alstyne homemaker, who died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Morning Chapel CME in Van Alstyne. The Rev. Vanessa Darden and the Rev. George R. Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boyd-Smith-White Mortuary in Sherman. Mrs. Taylor was born in Sherman, the daughter of James Murphy and Jeannette Murphy. She attended school in Van Alstyne. On Oct. 5, 1973, she married Jerry Taylor in Sherman. She was a member of Morning Chapel CME. Surviving are her husband; daughter, Tramena Taylor of Van Alstyne; mother, of Van Alstyne; brothers, Robert Rhyne, Ronald Murphy, Garry Murphy, David Murphy, Kevin Murphy and Sean Murphy, all of Van Alstyne; sisters, Sharon R. Murphy and Monica Murphy, both of Van Alstyne, and Donna s. Murphy of Dallas; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S.P. Stinnett III of Van Alstyne. Taylor, 49, of Van Alstyne will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Morning Chapel CME Church in Van Alstyne. He died Friday Nov. 22, 1996, at Presbyterian Hospital in Greenville. The Rev. Fred Jones and the Rev. George Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Surviving are his daughter, Tramena Taylor of Greenville; father, Sammy Taylor of Greenville; mother, Irene Taylor of Celeste; sisters, Vernell Isabell and Geraldine Taylor, both of Sherman, and Rose Henry of Celeste, and two grandsons. Smith Memorial Chapel in Denison has charge of arrangements. The family will be at the Murphy residence in Van Alstyne.
