Bobby Gene Tate 1932 - 1933 Van Alstyne Leader February 17, 1938 Page 8 BAY LUE TATE Funeral services for Bay Lue Tate, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louie Tate, were held at the family residence west of Elmont at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. C. S. Wilhite, pastor of the Methodist church, and the Rev. Frank Johnston, pastor of the Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in Van Alstyne cemetery, directed by Fox-Fanning. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Tate; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Jay and Mrs. L. D. Tate, and the following brothers and sisters: Juanita Chumbley, Willard, Nadine, J. Tate 1899 - 1987 Saturday, February 25, 1961 Obituary Notices LOUIE DAVID TATE Funeral services for Louie David Tate were held at the First Methodist Church last Saturday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Sale Lilly, Jr. Pallbearers were Delano Cavender, Chas. R. McMenamy, Benny Edwards, Bobby McMenamy, Benny Murray and Delbert Justice. Interment was in the City Cemetery, under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home. Mr. Tate was born in Texas on March 11, 1880, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Tate. He expired in the East Town Hospital in Dallas after a long illness on last Friday at 7:30 a.m. He was a retired farmer and had many friends in this section. He was a member of the Van Alstyne Methodist Church. He was united in marriage with Miss Gertie Skipworth on April 19, 1930. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gertie Tate; by three daughters, Mrs. Mary Evelyn Randles of Dallas, Mrs. Nadine Baker of Dallas and Mrs. Juanita Chumley of Houston; by four sons, Vincent Tate of Dallas, Knox Tate of Corsicana, C.J. Skipworth of Gunter and W.O. Skipworth of Robert Lee, Texas; by one brother, Homer Tate of Whitewright; by 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. C9 Gertie Tate Van Alstyne - Services for Gertie Tate of Van Alstyne, 88-year-old housewife who died Friday in Dallas, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Flesher Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jack Smith will officiate, and burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home. Mrs. Tate was born in Van Alstyne, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.O. Jay, and married Louie D. Tate in Durant, Okla. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church Surviving are her sons, Willard Skipworth of San Angelo; James Skipworth of Gunter and R.V. Tate of Dallas; daughters, Juanita Chumbley of Houston; Nadine Baker of Dallas and Mary Evelyne Randle of Dallas; sister, Thelma Walsh of Van Alstyne; 16 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
