will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Waldo Funeral Chapel for Mrs.
Laura Lee Strickland, 79-year-old widow of 1901 E. Pecan St., who died
Monday at a Sherman nursing home. Services will be conducted by Dr. Tom Brandon of the First Baptist Church with burial at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mrs. Strickland was born at Dixon, Mo., daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Harris and was married to B. A. Strickland on June 18, 1921. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Lingo of Sherman; brother, J. D. Harris of Arlington and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Frank L. Brown, Logan Singleton, Odis Clark, Edd Dada, Fred Maluf and J. B. Thomas. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and other times at 801 S.
