   Guy Davis Stinnett 1927 - 1977 Sherman Democrat October 27, 1977 GUY DAVIS STINNETT McKinney - Services for Guy Davis Stinnett, 49, a general contractor who died Wednesday at a Dallas hospital following a lengthy illness will be held at 2 p.m Friday at Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne. Conducted by Rev. Leslie Haynes. Burial will be at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mr. Stinnett was born in Anna, the son of Mrs. Winnie Stinnett and the late Guy V. Stinnett. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He married Kelly Montgomery on Feb. 24, 1951, in Los Angeles, Calif. Surviving are his wife, of McKinney; daughters, Lisa Ann Stinnett of McKinney and Mrs. Sherri Sue Hardin of Boston, Mass.; sons, Jack Davis Stinnett of McKinney and Guy Randy Stinnett of Allen; mother, of Anna; and sisters, Mrs. Helen Braswell of Anna and Mrs. Ruth Swann of McKinney. Pallbearers are Herman Malone, Wilson Fowler, Wesley Mangrum, Perry Martin, Dr. Martin Fantony, Erwin Bly, Marvin Page and Martin Fantony. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.  Guy V. The Rev. Hugh Abraham of the First Christian Church of Anna will officiate, and burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mrs. Stinnett was born in Anna, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. McKinney and the great-granddaughter of Collin McKinney, a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence. She married Guy V. Stinnett in 1907 in Anna. Mrs. Stinnett was a member of the First Christian Church of Anna and Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Surviving are her daughters, Helen Braswell and Ruth Swann, both of McKinney; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jack Stinnett, Randy Stinnett, Keith Frazier, Bob Hardin, Leonard Harlow, Bobby McKinney, Dexter McKinney and David Keeler. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and other times at the residence, 1303 W. Lamar St., McKinney.
