 Ray Spencer 1912 - 2004 Alma Spencer 1916 - 2010  The Herald Democrat March 14, 2010 GUNTER - Graveside services for Alma Elizabeth Spencer, 93, of Gunter will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010, in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Gary Gibbs will officiate, and arrangements are under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne. She died Friday, March 12, 2010, in Medical Center of Plano. Mrs. Spencer was born March 23, 1916, in Whitewright, the daughter of D.C. and Hattie (Young) Wallace. She married Ray Spencer on June 2, 1941, in Durant, Okla. Alma was a teacher in Gunter when she met her husband, and later she was a substitute teacher for S&S Schools. Surviving are her daughter, Judith Ann Spencer of Gunter; sister, Wanda Pearce of Richardson; and sister-in-law, Ann Wallace of Salado. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers.
