 David P. Slaughter 1873 - 1944 Dallas Morning News February 18, 1944 D. P. Slaughter Sr. Passes at Howe Howe, Texas, Feb. 17 - David P. Slaughter, 70, postmaster here for ten years and a Grayson County resident since early boyhood, died at his home Wednesday night of a heart attack. He had been engaged in business here before his appointment to the postmastership. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Joe P. Cox Jr. of Sherman; Mrs. Lawrence Wilson of Wichita Falls; and WAC Pvt. Dugenia Slaughter of Edgewood, Md.; and a son, David P. Slaughter Jr., yeoman second class, at Dallas.  Annie S.
