February 20, 1959 Death came to Mrs. Lucy Sims of Rt. 1, Anna at the Wilson Jones Hospital in Sherman Wednesday morning at 4:45. Funeral services were scheduled to be at the Elmont Baptist Church Thursday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Wayne R. Williams and Rev. A.A.Timmons, Methodist minister. Pallbearers were Harley James, Zac Emerson, Fulton Emerson, John Douglas, Frank Jordan and Bill Barrett. Interment was in the Van Alstyne City Cemetery. She was a member of the Elmont Church. Mrs. Sims was born on June 3, 1913, the daughter of Jim and Becky Fry Roland at Bonham. Survivors include her husband, Billy Sims of Rt. 1, Anna; two daughters, Billy Ruth Sims and Billy Jean Sims; two sons, Billy Ray Sims and Billy Don Sims; one grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Maudie Roland of Garland; three brothers, Will Roland of Hurst, Leeman Roland of Sherman and George Roland of McKinney.
