 Katie Walker Shaw 16 August 1893 - 18 December 1977 Van Alstyne Leader Thursday, December 22, 1977 Services were held Tuesday at Flesher Funeral Home for Mrs. Katie Shaw, 84. She died at a McKinney hospital on Sunday, December 18, 1977. She was a resident of Melissa. Services were conducted by Rev. Pat Layne of Anna. Burial was at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mrs. Shaw was born in Arkansas, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Barton. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Elston Walker of Troy, Idaho; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Bass of Melissa, Mrs. Willie Maw Lawrence of Sherman and Mrs. Lena Covington of Weatherford; and by three brothers, Earnest Barton of Van Alstyne, O.M.
