VAN ALSTYNE - Peggy Jean Dotson, 57, passed away on Feb. 27, 2010 at the Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman. She was born to Robert Junior and Robbie Rae (Andrews) Burns on Dec. 31, 1952 in Sallisaw, Okla. On Aug. 4, 1969, she married Edwin Dotson in Fairview.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Edwin of Van Alstyne; daughters, Lacinda Dotson and David Webb of Van Alstyne and Autumn Morgan of Van Alstyne; grandchildren, Michael Morgan of Anna, Cory Morgan of Van Alstyne, Aaron Webb of Van Alstyne; sisters, Joanne Jenkins and husband Gerald, and Lynn Kleman and husband Jeff, all of Sallisaw, Okla.; several nieces and nephews.

Family visitation and viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 6 -8 p.m. at Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne. Graveside services are to be held at 2 p.m. at the Van Alstyne Cemetery with Gary Gibbs officiating and under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home.

Edwin Dale Dotson, born April 23, 1952 to Ivhan Lavon and Elizabeth “Betty” Dotson, passed into eternity July 20, 2018, peacefully in his home.

Funeral services will be held at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel, in Van Alstyne, TX; Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 2:30PM. with Robert Lewis Jr., James Lewis, Roger McAdams Jr., Cory Morgan, David Webb Jr., and Brandon White, serving as Pallbearers. He will be reunited in rest with his beloved wife, Peggy, at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. The family will be accepting friends and loved ones for the viewing service Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 6:00PM. to 8:00PM.

Dale is survived by 2 daughters, LaCinda Gail Dotson, spouse David Webb Jr., and Autumn DeShann Morgan, all of Denison, Texas; 3 grandsons, Michael David Morgan, Cory Lee Morgan, and Aaron Blake Webb; 2 great grandsons, Jayden Jones and Corbyn Morgan; 2 brothers, Randy Dotson of Sallisaw, Oklahoma and Ray Dotson of Van Alstyne, Texas; and 3 sisters, Bethy Kay Hopwood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Connie Adcock and Terry McAdams, both of Leonard, Texas.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Ivhan Lavon and Elizabeth “Betty” Dotson, his beloved wife of 41 years, Peggy Jean Dotson; 1 sister, Sandra Charity, and 3 brothers, Bunky Dotson, Johnny Dotson, and Walter Douglas Dotson.

Dale will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a quiet, hard-working man of the Christian faith who loved to spend his time with family. He had a passion for camping and hunting and loved taking the grandkids on hunting trips even before they could walk.

He will be remembered with laughter and maybe a few tears, but just thinking of him will always bring a smile to your face.
