Tuesday, August 16, 1966 Van Alstyne Native, W. M. Scott, 59, Dies VAN ALSTYNE - Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m Wednesday in the Van Alstyne Cemetery for William Monroe Scot, 59. Mr. Scott died Monday morning in a Hempstead hospital. Flesher Funeral Home has charge of local arrangements. He was born in Van Alstyne Oct. 27, 1907. He was a barber and a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nell Scott of Hempstead; his mother, Mrs. John H. Bennett of Dallas; and two daughters.
