Sherman, Texas -- Services for Esther Oleta Reatherford, 100, of Sherman will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne, with Bro. Joe Patterson officiating.  She passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Meadowbrook Care Center, in Van Alstyne, Texas.

Barry Cox, Chris Fulenwider, Chris Fulenwider, Andrew Fulenwider, James Bradford, and, Richard Bradford, will be serving as pallbearers.

Esther was born May 24, 1915 to William and Julia Ann Carney in Berryville, Arkansas. She is preceded by her parents and husband; Jack Reatherford, four brothers and two sisters.

Esther Oleta Reatherford is survived by Mary Reed (Bobby), Eddylee Purdom (Paul), Gale Cox (Billy),
Bill Fulenwider (Carol), Alford Fulenwider (Joyce), Johnny Fulenwider (Linda) Dale and Lewis Fulenwider; sister; Dorothy Ford; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 14 great – great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home & Crematory, 637 W. Van Alstyne, Pkwy.
