Friday, September 13, 1918 pg. 2 CHILD KILLED IN AUTO ACCIDENT The 8 months' old son of Dr. and Mrs. T.C. Alexander of Oil City, Louisiana, met instant death Tuesday morning shortly after 9 o'clock, 6 miles south of Van Alstyne, when an automobile in which the family were riding, was overturned. The accident occurred at a bridge when a wheel of the automobile went into a hole. Dr. Alexander and his wife occupied the front seat and 6 small children were in the rear seat. All but the baby escaped with minor bruises. The child's neck was broken. Dr. and Mrs. Alexander had been at Mineral Wells for several days and were enroute to Oklahoma to visit the doctor's brother. They had stayed in McKinney Monday night. The body of the child was buried in the cemetery at Van Alstyne Tuesday afternoon.
