POTTER TO BE BURIED HERE TODAY Thomas Jefferson Potter, age 69, passed away at the Frost hospital at Denison Thursday at 5 a.m. Mr. Potter was born in Celina, Clay county, Tennessee in 1869. He moved to Van Alstyne in 1887, here he was married to Miss Katy Brown. He had been a member of the Christian church for 45 years. Funeral services are to be held at the Fox Funeral home at 4:30 p.m., with the Rev. Frank Johnston, pastor of the First Baptist church officiating. Interment will be held in the Van Alstyne cemetery. Survivors include four nieces: Mrs. Alvin Whitehead, Van Alstyne; Mrs. Ola Adams, Sherman; Mrs. Comer Sollee, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Dora Clark, Los Angeles; two nephews: Homer Pair, Taft; and Luther Pair of Anna. Pallbearers are: A. L. Whitehead, Oscar Mullenix, Mr. Trice, Mr. Jenning, Alton Mullenix and Dee Whitehead.
