Bill O'Neal 1 December 1863 - 5 May 1952 Rilla Mae O'Neal 6 September 1889 - 27 March 1959 Van Alstyne Leader April 3, 1959 Mrs. Rilla Mae O'Neal passed away last Friday morning at 1:15 in the Wilson Jones Hospital in Sherman. Funeral services were held in the First Christian Church here Saturday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. G.G.Burnett of Denison. Pallbearers were Bill Barrett, Otto Cunningham, Kit Hix, Stone Marshall, Les Crook and Roy Gipson. Interment was in the City Cemetery under the direction of the Flesher Funeral Home. Mrs. O'Neal was born in Grayson County on Sept. 6, 1889. She was united in marriage with Bill O'Neal in Van Alstyne on Sept 6, 1906. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1952. A resident of Grayson County all her life, she was a member of the First Christian Church and an active participant in all activities for 55 years. She was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship the past ten years. After retiring from farm life, she made her home here with her son, Leonard (Bally) O'Neal. She is survived by four sons, Buck O'Neal of Big Spring, Leonard O'Neal of Van Alstyne, Weldon O'Neal of Grapevine and Billy O'Neal of Sherman; by one daughter, Mrs. Juanita Nielson of San Diego, California; by two sisters, Mrs. Willie Gee of Prosper and Mrs. Ruth Baker of Bakersfield, California; by one brother, Clyde Sprowl of Fort Worth; and by 12 grandchildren.
