He died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000 in Springfield, Mo. Rev. Bob Layman will officiate. Flesher Funeral Home of Van Alstyne is in charge of arrangements. Survivors are two daughters; Dana Stevens of Van Alstyne and Erica Werner of Sherman; two sons, Marcus O'Brien of Sherman and Curtis O'Brien Jr. of Houston; one sister, Mary Lou Koffroth of Pooler, Ga. and 5 grandchildren.
