"Shawn" McMillion, 39, died Thursday, July
17, 2003 in his residence.
Funeral
services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in
Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in
Van Alstyne with Toby Soechting officiating.
Burial was in the Van
Alstyne cemetery.
Mr. McMillion was
born April 22, 1964 in Sherman, the son of
Jimmy Don McMillion and Jean
Ann Crawford McMillion. He graduated from
Howe High School in 1982 and
from the University of Texas at Tyler in
1995. While attending Howe
High School, he was a member of the Bulldog
Marching Band and honors
band, all four years of high school. Other
activities included
various sports and vocational agriculture.
He was a member of Howe
Church of Christ. He was a Parole Officer
with the Texas Department of
Corrections. He loved music and going to
Texas Rangers games.
Surviving are his
parents, Jimmy Don and Jean Ann McMillion of
Howe; brothers Jonathan McMillion and wife,
Cheryl of Arlington and Joey McMillion of
Howe; and grandmother, Emma
Jean Crawford of Van Alstyne. He was the
grandson of Jean and Douglas
Crawford and the late Jones and Ola
McMillion of Howe. He is also
survived by numerous aunts, uncles and
cousins. He was uncle to Ryan,
Hunter and Garrett McMillion and friend to
Stu Highlander.
Pallbearers were
Scott McTee, Jason McTee, Stu Highlander,
Kevin Frantz, Rob Hunt, and David Routh.
Arrangements were
directed by Flesher Funeral Home.
