61, Fielder Lumber
Company laborer who died Wednesday at his
home, will be held at 2:30
p.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ here,
conducted by Melvin
Chappell, minister.
Burial will be at Van
Alstyne Cemetery, with arrangements by Smith
Memorial Chapel in Denison.
A Collin County native,
he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer
McKinney, Sr., and married Laura
Lee Perry on Aug. 29, 1937, in Van
Alstyne. He was a member of the Church
of Christ and the Knights of Pythias Lodge.
Survivors
include his wife; daughter, Mrs. Ethel Mae
Johnson of Albuquerque,
N.M.; brothers, Homer McKinney, Jr., of Big
spring and E.D. McKinney of
Van Alstyne; sister, Mrs. Rayfield Tate of Van
Alstyne; seven
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers
are Buster Hickson, Harlie McKinney, Bob
McKinney, L.T. Johnson, Marvin
Linson, Pat Patterson, Robinson Orr Jr. and
Hershell Jackson.
The family will be at
home.

Raish McKinney was born to the union of Mr.
and Mrs. Homer McKinney Sr.
April 23, 1916 in Collin County, Texas. At an
early age, he united with
the Church of Christ under the leadership of
Brother K. C. Thomas.
He was united in Holy
Matrimony to the former Laura Lee Perry on
August 29, 1937. To this union one daughter
was born.
He departed this life
after several months of illness, June 9, 1977.
