ALSTYNE - Funeral services were held at
McKinney Friday for Mrs. Joe A.
McKinney, former resident, who died in a
McKinney hospital at 12:45
a.m. Friday, following amputation of one of
her limbs. The body
was brought here for burial beside the grave
of her husband, who died
several years ago.
Mrs.
McKinney is survived by a son, J. H.
McKinney of Quanah; a daughter,
Miss Gretechen McKinney and an adopted
daughter, Miss Margie Dell
McKinney. A brother, Hardin Kepler of
Van Alstyne also survives.
She
was a native of this section, having lived
here all of her life prior
to 1922 when she moved to McKinney.
Her maiden name was Miss Ella
Kepler. She was a member of the
Christian church.
Funeral rites were
conducted by Dr. E. O. Whitwell, pastor of
the Central Presbyterian church.
