OBITUARY

Mrs. Savannah Isabell McCollums was born to the parentage of Mr. and Mrs. John Allison Tate on February 16, 1892 in Pilot Grove, Texas.
She received her education in the Pilot Grove Schools.
On November 5, 1911, she was married to Mr. Joe Billy (Bid) McCollums, and to this union six children were born. The oldest son, O. J. McCollums preceded her in death.
In 1930 she obeyed the gospel in the Church of Christ under the tenure of the late Bro. K. C. Thomas.
Bro. and Sister McCollums moved to Dallas on June 3, 1972. Bro. McCollums died fourteen months later.
On Monday, April 2, 1984, at 1:00 P.M., after a lengthy illness, God called her home. She will be sorely missed by those who loved her.
Survivors: three sons, Messrs. Weldon McCollums, Joe Melvin McCollums, both of Dallas, Texas; Royce McCollums of Odessa, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Zelma Carter of Oakland, California and Mrs. Loyce Teal of Dallas, Texas. Nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.



Mr. Joe Billy (Bid) McCollums was born to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Orange McCollums on February 7, 1889 in Van Alstyne, Texas, Grayson County. He attended public school in that county.
On November 5, 1911, he was united in Holy matrimony to Miss Savannah Tate, and to this union
six children were born.

In 1930 he obeyed the gospel in the Church of Christ under the tenure of the late Bro.K.C.Thomas.
Bro. and Sis. McCollums moved to Dallas on June 3, 1972.
Survivors: his wife, Mrs. Savannah McCollums; four sons, Messrs. O.J. McCollums, Joe Marvin McCollums, Weldon McCollums, all of Dallas, Texas and Royce McCollums of Odessa, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Zelma Carter of Oakland, California, and Mrs. Loyce Clayton of Dallas, Texas; two
sisters, Mrs. Imogene Vester of Van Alstyne, Texas and Mrs. Cindy Lewis of San Angelo, Texas;
8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; other relatives and friends.
