Robbie Lee Willoughby Lewis
5 June 1922 - 25 August 2022

Robbie
Lee Lewis was born June 5th, 1922 in Grayson
County to Robert Ellis and
Annie Willoughby. She graduated from Van
Alstyne high school and then
attended Business School in Dallas. She
married Grady Ross Lewis from
Gunter in 1940.
Robbie worked in a
tailor shop in Gunter
for a few years. Then she started working for
Texas Instruments in
Richardson as a QC Tech and later transferred
to the Sherman plant. She
retired early after 21 years of service to
take care of her husband.
They enjoyed traveling,
especially to
Branson, Eureka Springs, Red River and all
over Colorado. She loved her
family more than anything and enjoyed having
the grand-kids stay
overnight. She especially loved Christmas and
the singing of Christmas
carols. In her later years, she still wanted
to be kept up-to-date with
all the things going on in each family.
She reached her 100th
birthday this year
on June 5th and was overjoyed to have all her
family members at the
celebration. Some she had not seen since
before Covid and was so happy
to give and get hugs!
Robbie is survived by
children, Sharon
Givens and husband Wendell, Mike Lewis and
wife Patricia, Vicki Dosser
and husband Jerry, and Alan Lewis and wife,
Theresa. Grandchildren: Dee
Ann Lewis, Blaine Cantrell & wife Angela,
Darren Ross Lewis, Amy
Reed and husband, Roger, Mandy Turner, Christi
Light and husband Jared,
Misti Ranton and husband, Shon, Trent Cox and
wife, Jessica, Grady
Lewis and fiancé, Holly Ambers. 19
great-grandchildren and 9
great-great grandchildren.
Robbie is preceded in
death by her late
husband, Grady Ross Lewis, her parents,
son-in-law, Phil Cantrell, and
her sisters Faye Minton, Era Akers, Lera Avery
and Annie Mae Grimes.
The family would like
to thank Beacon
Hill in Denison which was her home for the
last 9 years. They loved and
treated her like their own family member. She
loved her caretakers
dearly and they were amazed at her memory and
quick wit, and
storytelling.
