George Kepler 1871 - 1930 W. H. Kepler 1858 - 1939 Van Alstyne Leader April 20, 1939 pg.5 In Memoriam The Lord has seen fit to call unto Himself one of Van Alstyne's older citizens, Mr. Hardin Kepler, the beloved husband of one of our most loyal members. Following a long illness he passed away at his home, April 14th at 4:30 p.m. to his grief stricken wife, we offer our deepest sympathy and love. In this her hour of sorrow Through sorrow we are all made kin, May His unerring hand continue to guide you and sustain you. I cannot say and I will not say that he is dead - he is just away! With a cheery smile and a wave of the hand he has wandered into the unknown land, and left us dreaming how very fair it needs be since he lingers there. And you - Oh you, who the wildest yearn for the old time step and the glad return, Think of him faring on, as dear in the love of there and the love of Here. Mild and gentle as he was brave - when the sweetest love of his life he gave, The touches of his hands have strayed as reverently as his lips have prayed when the little sparrow that harshly chirred was as dear to him as the mocking bird; and he pitied as much as a man in pain, a writhing honey bee wet with rain. Think of him still as the same, I say; He is not dead - he is just away." Mrs. John Stewart Mrs. Una Lockett W.M.U. of the First Baptist Church G. W.
