Funeral
services for Mrs. Henry Johnson, 84, of
Windom, were held at 2:00
o'clock Monday afternoon in the
Cooper-Sorrells Chapel. The Rev.
A. R. Carroll, minister of the Windom United
Methodist Church was the
officiant. Interment was in the Van Alstyne
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Choice Moore, John Bomar,
Golden Ridge, Billy Cheatham, Leeman Riddles
and Frank Howell.
Mrs. Johnson was the former Mary Effie
Boggan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Charlie Boggan. She was born in Mississippi,
Dec. 11, 1883. She married
Henry Johnson, Dec. 11, 1927. He died Nov.
14, 1956.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the McKenzie
Methodist Church of Honey Grove.
Survivors include two step-sons, H. C.
Johnson Jr., of Nashville,
Tenn., and Ralph Johnson of Dallas; two
step-daughters, Mrs. R. W.
Huffman and Mrs. Eugene E. Moore, both of
Dallas; eight grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
