Lillie P. Jay 1904 - 1982 Services
for Mrs. Lillie Paige Jay, 77 year old Howe housewife who died Sunday
at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday
at Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne. The Rev. J. W. Jackson and the Rev. Johnny Irish will officiate. Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mrs. Jay was born in Texas, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William W. Tuley(should be Griffin Walker Tuley) and married Walter Jay on Nov 21, 1921 in Denton. She was a member of the Van Alstyne Church of God. Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Imogene Kerby of Sherman, Mrs. Betty Umphress of Van Alstyne and Mrs. Bobbie Arp of Howe; sisters, Mrs. Laura Angle of Howe, Mrs. Emily Sauls of Aubrey, Mrs. Edna Morris of Sherman, Mrs. Beulah Mae Bybee (should be Beulah Mae Biby of Big Spring and Mrs. Lorraine Coonrod of Denison ; brothers, Preston Tuley of Wichita Falls, Martin Tuley, Marvin Tuley and Charley Tuley, all of Sherman ; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
