Alstyne – Funeral services for Curtis Ray Hayes, 59, of Van Alstyne
were held Wednesday, April 15, at 2 p.m. at Flesher Funeral Home Chapel
in Van Alstyne. He died Saturday, May 11, 2002. Ted Dusek officiated with burial in Van Alstyne Cemetery. He was born Aug. 28, 1942 in Elizabeth, West Virginia to George Curtis Hayes and Frances Elizabeth Hayes. He married Sharon Cain Feb. 20, 1965 in West Virginia. He was a Christian, baptized March 25, 1972. He was a business owner and served in the U. S. Navy. Survivors are his wife, Sharon Hayes of Van Alstyne; daughter and son-in-law Rachel and Michael Taylor of Howe; son and daughter-in-law Curtis Alan and Cheryl Hayes of McKinney; three grandchildren, Joseph Michael Taylor, Kelly Cheynne Taylor and Dalton Channing Hayes; sister, Neeta Berisford of West Virginia; brothers, Eddie Hayes of West Virginia and Alan Hayes of Las Vegas, Nevada. Pallbearers were Curtis A. Hayes, Michael Taylor, Chris King, Timmy Hayes, Michael Wilhite, Billy Richerson and Joseph Taylor.
