August 22, 1889 pg.2 Van Alystyne, Tex., Aug. 21. - James Giddings, aged 73, died at the home of his brother-in-law, D.M. Creager, yesterday, after a continued sickness of several years. He was an old Texan, being a resident of Collin County for the past forty years.
