Van Alstyne - Services for Mrs. Chloe Gentry, 83, who died Monday at a Van Alstyne nursing home, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Flesher Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Ron Page and Jerry Scott.  Burial will be at Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mrs. Gentry was born in Tennessee and was a member of the First Methodist Church.  She married Eli Gentry July 25, 1909 in McKinney.
Surviving are her husband; daughter, Mrs. James Hughes and a son, James Gentry, both of Van Alstyne; seven grandchilren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m.



Services for Eli Leslie Gentry, 93, were held at Flesher Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Gary Kincaid, Methodist minister, and the Rev. Scott Jordan, Baptist Minister, officiated.  Burial followed at Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mr. Gentry, a retired carpenter, was born in Texas to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Gentry and was married to Chloe Bugg on July 25, 1909 in McKinney.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church and had lived most of his life in Van Alstyne.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Rena Hughes of Van Alstyne; son, James Gentry of Van Alstyne; seven grand-children and 10 great-grandchildren.
Gentry died Monday at a Van Alstyne nursing home.
