Gunter, TX, passed away November 20, 2009 in
Sherman, TX. She was born on January
21, 1943 in San Blas De Copudas Zac, Mexico
to Pedro and Ana Mana (Esparza)
Mercado. She worked in environmental
services in the medical field and was a
member of the Baptist faith.
Maria is survived by her sons, Agustin Robledo and wife, Elvira, Juan Becerra and wife, Maria Izabel and Juan Carlos Chavez and wife, Griselda, all of Gunter, TX; daughter, Ana Maria Chavez and husband, Antonio Castro of Gunter, TX; brothers, Hijinio Mercado of Aguscalientes, Mexico; Jose Mercado of Gunter, TX; Agustin Mercado of Gunter, TX and Eleno Mercado of Gunter, TX; sisters, Maria Mercado of El Tildio, Mexico; Gloria Mercado of Aguscalientes, Mexico; Socorro Mercado of Gunter, TX and Maria de Jesus Falcon of Gunter, TX; 8 grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne, TX. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, 1 hour prior to the service.
