VAN
ALSTYNE - Services for Mr. Robert James
Gaddy, 70-year-old retired auto
mechanic who died Sunday at his home, will
be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at
Flesher Funeral Home Chapel. Jimmy Tarrant
will officiate and burial
will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mr.
Gaddy was born in Princeton, Texas, a son of
John Thomas Gaddy and
Lillie Estelle Smith. He married Pansy
Jenkins Jeffcoat in Van Alstyne,
Dec. 24, 1956. He worked as a mechanic in
McKinney until 1965. He owned
and operated Gaddy's Garage in Van Alstyne
until 1979.
He
was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Van Alstyne and was a
member of Mantua Lodge 209 serving as junior
warden from 1990-91, and
was a member of Leah Elliot Chapter 1119
OES.
Survivors
are his wife of the home; sons, James Gaddy
and Jack Gaddy, both of
Picayune, Miss.; Richard Gaddy of
Waxahachie, John Gaddy of Savoy, and
Tommy Jeffcoat of Allen; daughter, Sheila
Fisher of McKinney; sisters,
Duffey Steffey of McKinney and Dorothy
Houston of Dallas; 11
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will
be Howard Trammell, Steve Keierlever, Jerry
Stephens, Ronnie Hunter, Joe Young and Carl
Davis.
