Joe Neal Hickman passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the age of 85.  He was born September 10, 1926 in Lindsay, Texas to Rodie and Vera Miller Hickman.  Joe married McRee Haynie in Marietta, Oklahoma on December 4, 1944.
He is survived by his wife, McRee and their children: James and wife Judy of Lake Kiowa; Glenda Carlisle and husband Rick of Tioga; Scott of Dallas; Alan and wife Janet of Grapevine; Joan Wooster and husband Elmer of Tioga; Rick and wife Melanie of Pilot Point; Lori Durden and husband Kent of Collinsville; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Charlie Hickman of Watuaga; and Pete Hickman of Southmayd; and sister, Patsy Coulson of Sherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, A.L. Hickman and Glen D. Hickman; sisters: Lula May Hickman, Cleo Smith, Maureen Faulkner; and grandchildren: Larry Dale Hickman and Jennifer Leigh Acker.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey.  Services will follow at 2 p.m.  Long time friend, Ricky Patterson will officiate.  Services are under the direction of Terri Slay and Huff/Slay Funeral Home.
