A12 Tioga - Thurman Tracy Tolleson of Tioga, 82, died Thursday in Collinsville Care Center in Collinsville. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Huff/Slay Funeral Home Chapel in Pilot Point. The Rev. Luther Slay and the Rev. Mike Readus will officiate. Burial will be in Tioga Cemetery. Mr. Tolleson was born in Tioga, the son of Della Florence Meadows Tolleson and Henry Harrison Tolleson, and married Laura Corine Shearon on Dec. 24, 1937, in Sherman. He was employed as a machinist in the aircraft industry and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Tolleson taught Sunday School for many years and served as a Tioga city councilman. He also worked at the Denton State School for 14 years. Surviving are his wife; daughter, Barbara Martin of Valley View; sons, Tracy Jack Tolleson of Van Alstyne and Harry Gene Tolleson of Collinsville; brothers, James Gee Tolleson of Michigan and Eugene "Jake" Tolleson of Flower Mound; and 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. Sherman Democrat 24 July 1994 Pg. A12 Tioga- Laura Corine Tolleson, 79-year-old homemaker of Tioga, died Friday in Denton Community Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Huff/Slay Funeral Home Chapel in Pilot Point. The Rev. Luther L. Slay and the Rev. Mike Redus will officiate. Burial will be in Tioga Cemetery. Mrs. Tolleson was born in Tioga, the daughter of Otis J. Shearon and Eudora Pearl Herring Shearon, and married Thurman Tracy Tolleson on Dec. 24, 1937, in Sherman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons: Tracy Jack Tolleson of Van Alstyne and Harry Gene Tolleson of Collinsville; daughter, Barbara Martin of Valley View; and 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
