J.W. Epperson, Tioga Pioneer Resident, Dies
Sherman, Texas April 3 - Funeral Services for Jesse W. Epperson,
87 of Tioga, who died Friday were held in the afternoon from the residence.
Mr. Epperson suffered a paralytic stroke Sunday. Services were conducted
by the Rev. G.L. Hodges and the Rev. H.G. Bow of Tioga.
Burial was in the Tioga Cemetery
Mr. Epperson was born at Nashville, Tenn., and came to Texas when
16. He had been a resident of Tioga forty-one years.
Mr. Epperson is survived by his wife and six children, Mrs. Minnie
E. Briscoe of Leakesville, Miss., Mrs. Maude Briscoe of Columbia, Ala.,
Mrs. W.M. Davidson of Wichita Falls, Mrs. O.C. Cannon, L.L. Epperson and
V.L. Epperson all of Tioga.
