Robert Cook 31 August 1881 - 25 June 1953 Dallas Morning News June 28, 1953 Funeral at Tioga Tioga, Texas June 27 - Fuenral services for Sterling Robert Cook, 72, were conducted Saturday at the Missionary Baptist Church. Cook died in a Sherman Hospital after two-week illness. Burial was in Tioga Cemetery. A native of Tioga, Cook resided in Sherman until ten years ago when he returned to Tioga. He was a member of the East Sherman Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, three daughters: Mrs. Troy Kidd of Dallas; Mrs. Stanley Lankton of Lansing, Michigan; and Mrs. Verner Conger of Beaumont; six grandchildren.
