The Collinsville Times Friday, February 2, 1940 FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. J. PANGLE THURSDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Jane Pangle were held Thursday afternoon at the Gunter Baptist Church. She passed away Wednesday evening at the home of her son from pneumonia. Rev. Roy C. K--- officiated and burial was in the Tioga Cemetery with Helms in charge. Mrs. Pangle was born August 8, 1866 in Tennessee, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. James P. Gibson. She was married to G.E. Pangle who died in 1939. She has resided in Texas for 50 years and in Grayson county half of that time. Surviving are two sons, J. B. and T.W. Pangle of Gunter; 3 daughters, Mrs. Dessie Lewis of Gunter; Mrs. Mae Maddox of Lubbock; and Mrs. Era DeSazo of Crosbyton; a sister, Mrs. Margaret McBroom of Bonham; 4 brothers, J.J. Gibson of Etowah, Tennessee; Thomas Gibson of San Bernadino, California; C.S. Gibson of Amarillo; and D.L. Gibson of San Antonio. Nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
