Wednesday, August 10, 2011 Ammie Sue Carney, 33, of Gainesville passed away August 6, 2011. She was born November 22, 1977, daughter of Archie and Kathy Worley Bradford of Sherman, Texas. She was a paramedic Graveside services were held Thursday morning, August 11, 2011 at Tioga Cemetery with Rev. Luther Slay officiating. Ammie is survived by her father, Archie Bradford, of Whitesboro; grandparents, Dee and Kathy Worley of Gordy; and numerous aunts and uncles. She is predeceased by her mother, Kathy Bradford. Services were under the direction of Slay Memorial Funeral Center, Aubrey. Archie Bradford, 85, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Homestead Nursing Home in Collinsville, Texas. He was born April 18, 1933, son of Doff and Dovie Whitworth Bradford in Whitesboro, Texas. He married Kathy Worley on October 6, 1972 in Pilot Point, Texas. He had one daughter, Ammie Carney Bradford. At an early age Archie worked to help support his family. He received very little formal education. Although unable to read and write he was very good with numbers. He loved being outside and spent many long hours farming and taking care of livestock. He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, and playing dominoes, He was a member of the Tioga Volunteer Department for over 42 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Ammie; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; 3 half-brothers; and 6 half-sisters. He is survived by one brother, Ed Bradford of Pilot Point, Texas; sister-in-law, Norma Bradford of Aubrey, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews; and lots of friends. Archie was a humble man who worked hard, loved his family, and was alway willing to help anyone when needed. A graveside service was held Wednesday morning, June 20, 2018 at Tioga Cemetery in Tioga, Texas with Toby Osburn officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Mark Kays, Robert Bradford, Barry Bradford, Barry Reed, Curtis Graves, Raymond Graves, Gary Burchett, Bob Burchett, Jimmy Leverett and Ronnie Bradford. Arrangements were under the direction of Terri Slay and Slay Memorial Funeral Center.
