  Virginia S. Johnson Neal 17 April 1941 - 27 August 2009  Virginia S. "Ginger" Neal 1941-2009 Virginia (Ginger) S. Neal, 68, lifelong Sherman resident, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009 at WNJ Medical Center. Services will be held Monday, Aug. 31 at Dannel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 6 p.m. with a service to follow in the Dannel Funeral Chapel at 7 p.m. Chaplain David Taylor will officiate. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery on Tuesday morning. Honorary pallbearers will be Mack Snider, Buddy Greer, Joe Henderson, Joe Sudderth, Lester Terrell, Jesse Parrish and the GNO group. Ginger was born April 17, 1941, in Sherman, to Frank ("Bud") Johnson Jr. and Anabel Barton Johnson. After graduating from Sherman High School in 1959, she earned a BS degree from Texas A&M University at Commerce. She married Don I. Neal on April 4, 1980. They enjoyed more than 20 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on April 2, 2001. Ginger was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Frank ("Buddy") Johnson III, and a sister-in-law, Billie Ruth Johnson. She is survived by her son John Sudderth Jr. and wife Janie of Gunter; daughter Stacy L. Melton of Sherman, daughter Susan L. Nolen and husband Mike of Richardson; sister Frances A.
