Sherman Daily Democrat Monday, February 26, 1917 pg. 4 Joseph Zehliman Well Known Citizen Dies From Effects of Pneumonia John Joseph Zehliman, 61 years of age, died in Sherman this morning at 8:30 o'clock, following a short illness with pneumonia. The body was taken in charge by Haynes & Sporer, local undertakers, and prepared for burial. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning from St. Mary's Catholic church in this city, and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, south of the city. Mr. Zehliman had been a resident of Sherman for over twenty years, and at the time of his death was sexton of St. Mary's Catholic cemetery. He is survived by a son, Joseph Zehliman, and two daughters, Josephine and Rose Zehliman, who make their home at St. Mary's convent. His wife is dead. Sherman Democrat June 17, 1990 A-14 DENISON - Word has been received of the death of Josephine E. Zihlman, 90, of Fort Worth, formerly of Denison. She died last week at Our Lady of Victory Home in Fort Worth. Mass of the Christian burial was held Saturday in Our Lady of Victory Chapel in Fort Worth. Graveside services were held Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sherman, with local arrangements by Dannel Funeral Home. Miss Zihlman was born in Sherman, the daughter of Joseph and Carolyn Zihlman. She was a 17-year resident of Our Lady of Victory Home in Fort Worth. She had formerly been employed for many years in the pharmacy and office at Madonna Hospital in Denison. Surviving is her sister, Sister Charlotte Zihlman of Fort Worth.
