Sherman Democrat December 20, 1948 Pg. 2 JOE ZALUDEK A requiem mass for Joe Zaludek, 77, Grayson County farmer, who died Sunday at his home southwest of Southmayd following a heart attack, were held Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church.. Msgr. Edward McCullough was celebrant. Pallbearers were Charles Vrla, Michael Prihoda, George Vrla, Joe Faber, Louis Blazek, and J.C. Martinek. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, directed by Waldo Funeral Home. The Rosary was said at the funeral home on Sunday night. Mr. Zaludek was born December 19, 1872, the son of Frank and Annie Zaludek. He was married Barbara Haydook of Wichita Falls. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include : his wife, one son, Joe W. Zaludek, Whitesboro, and one granddaughter Mrs. Alvin Schroeder, Gunter. Sherman Democrat September 20, 1954 Page 2 Mrs. Barbara Zaludek, 79, died at 7:45 a.m. Monday in a Wichita Falls hospital after an illness of seven months. A native of Czechoslovakia, she was a resident of Southmayd since 1930. She came to the United State when she was 18 years old. Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. John Deusman, rector, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery directed by Waldo Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jerry Faber, Joe Faber, Charles A. Vrla, Fred Tessar, J. C. Martinek and Joe Weber. Mrs. Zaludek was born Nov. 14, 1874. She was married to Joe Zaludek in 1897. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, which will hold a rosary service. Mrs. Zaludek is survived by a son Joe W. Zaludek of Southmayd, a granddaughter and a great grandchild; two brothers, Jim Fabara of Southmayd and Mike Fabara of Ennis; and a sister, Mrs. Katie Krajca of Wichita Falls. Rosary service will be held at the Waldo Funeral Chapel at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Joseph W. Zaludek 26 December 1899 - 9 September 1975 Angelina A. Zaludek 1 March 1895 - 30 June 1985 Sherman Democrat July 1, 1985 ANGELINA ZALUDEK Services for Angelina Zaludek of Route 2, Whitesboro, 96-year-old homemaker who died Sunday at a Sherman hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Monsignor Gerald Hughes of the church will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery directed by Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Zaludek was born in Shiner, a daughter of Jim and Louise Picka Ermis, and married Joe W. Zaludek in April 1922 in Wichita Falls. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Surviving are her daughter, Lorene Schroeder of Whitesboro; brothers, L.E. Ermis of Beaumont and A.C. Ermis of Shreveport, and sisters, Willie Mae Simons of Wichita Falls, Alelia Slama of Burkburnett and Louise Vieth of Scotland; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Alvin Verla, Rickie Faber, Bobby Marinek, Jimmie Bolezalek, Bobbie Scott and Lee Schroeder.
