Jones Hospital in Sherman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 26, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Jeremy Myers officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Vrla was born on July 14, 1916 in Ellis County, Texas to Jim and Antonia Faber. She attended Sperry schools. On November 6, 1932 she married Charles A. Vrla in Sherman. Mrs. Vrla and her husband farmed in Dorchester and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Vrla was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Alvin and Patricia Vrla of Sherman; granddaughters, Bridget Vrla of Sherman and Sharon Vrla of Sherman and brother Jerry Faber of Sherman. Pallbearers will be Michael Faber, Richey Faber, Bobby Scott, Bobby Schnitker, Marvin Jaresh and Jack Boston. A Rosary was recited Monday evening at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. She died Wednesday at Wilson N. Jones Hospital. The Rev. Thomas Speiser of the church will be the celebrant; and burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Waldo Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Mrs. Vrla was born in Ennis, a daughter of John and Mary Hejny Martinek. On Jan. 27, 1935 she married George Alvin Vrla in Sherman. She was a resident of Grayson County and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
