WAGNER Sherman - Funeral for Paul William Wagner , 78, of Sherman, who died Jan. 6, 1992 in Wilson N. Jones Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Waldo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Wagner was born Feb. 8, 1913, in Brinkley, Ark., son of Frank Wagner and Mary Muller Wagner. He married Marie Shryock Sept. 14, 1933, in Brinkley. Wagner attended school in Brinkley and attended Magnolia A & M College in Magnolia, Ark. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe as a Sergeant in the Signal Corps. He retired in 1975 as district manager of National Life and Accident Insurance. Wagner moved from Arlington to Sherman in 1960. Prior to that he worked for National Life and Accident in El Paso and Nashville, Tenn. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; two brothers, George of Indianapolis, Frank of Blytheville, Ark; sister, Mary Evelyn McGee of Flint, Mich.; and stepmother, Pearl Rogers of Flint, Mich. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel. Memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County, Box 2283, Sherman or to the donor's favorite charity.
