Miss MARY FAHEY
19 January 1871 – 9 January 1950 

Miss Fahey was born in Chamois, Illinois the daughter of the late John and Mary (Bann) Fahey.  She died following an illness of six months at home in Sherman, Texas.
She came to Texas and Grayson County when a child.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and their Altar Society.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Kate McKenzie of Sherman; two brothers, John Fahey of Sherman and T.J. Fahey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Rosary was recited at Barrett Funeral Chapel.  A Requiem Mass was celebrated at St Mary’s Catholic Church, with the pastor, Monsignor Edward V. McCullough officiating. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Obituary was published on the Sherman Democrat newspaper on 10 January 1950, Page 2.


JOHN FAHEY
10 July 1879 – 6 March 1951 

Mr. Fahey was born in Chamois, Illinois the son of the late John and Mary (Bann) Fahey.  Consider to be Sherman, Texas oldest master plumber, who retired because of ill health, died at a local Sherman Hospital.
John came to Grayson County in 1885.  He attended St. Joseph’s Academy and Captain LeTelliers’s  School.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sherman.
Survivors included a brother, T.J. Fahey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Mrs. G.A. McKenzie of Sherman; and several nieces and nephews.
