Miss Fallon was born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky the daughter of Patrick Francis and Mary Elizabeth (Graham) Fallon. She died at St Vincent Hospital, Sherman, Grayson County, Texas where she had worked as nurse for 18 years.
The Fallon’s moved to Grayson County in 1879.  In 1912, Sallie graduated from the St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, Fort Worth, Texas and for a number of years she was employed at that hospital.
She was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church, Sherman and the Woodman Circle.  A military veteran, Sallie served in the US Army Nurse Corps during World War I.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother William and sister Margaret.
Survivors included; two brothers, John E. Fallon of Gunter, Texas and Charles G. Fallon of Sherman; three sisters, Miss Mary Fallon of Denison (who also served as a nurse during World War I), Miss Kitty Fallon and Mrs. Genevieve Fallon O’Hagan, both of Sherman; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Rosary was recited at the Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman.  A Requiem Mass was celebrated by Monsignor Edward McCullough at St Mary’s Catholic Church.

MARY E. FALLON
23 September 1885 – 5 April 1973

Miss Fallon, a retired nurse, was born in Grayson County, Texas, the daughter of Patrick and Elizabeth (Graham) Fallon.  She died at a nursing home in Sherman, Texas.
She was a registered nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital, Sherman, for many years before her retirement.  She also served as a nurse with the US Army Nurse Corps during World War I.  Her sister Sallie Fallon also served.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Altar Society.
Miss Fallon was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
Survivors were a sister, Mrs. Charles O'Hagan of Beaumont, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Rosary was recited at Waldo Funeral Chapel, by St. Mary's pastor, Rev. Emil Slovacek.
Requiem Mass was celebrated by Rev. Emil Slovacek at St. Mary's Church.
An obituary was published in the Sherman Democrat on 6 April 1973, Page 15.
